Need more info on "Transparent Oxide Brown". Simply the shade of oil you used? Or is there more to it? Technique, etc.?

Transparent oxide brown is just an oil colour - pretty much consists of rust (iron oxide).. This one is from Winsor and Newton. The colour itself is quite transparent, hence transparent brown oxide. Not so toxic either, which is good.
No particular techniques used really. I used brushes, fingers and tissue paper to apply/ remove paint. Sand paper in the end to create highlights. Just oil colour painted right on the white-lead primed canvas. I did not use any medium, as far as I could remember.
