FIRST DESIGN>> REDESIGN >>This was supposed to be released a hell of a long time ago... >__> like for a friends birthday last month long time ago. Sorry it took so long
School work. Though the unfortunate thing about that is the damn school project I was working ended up getting corrupted because my cpu decides it wants to freeze upon saving it. So. yeah I have nothing to turn in tomorrow. I just said screw it and finished this up instead. Figured I'd get this out before I have to wipe my hard drive and do a clean install tonight.

Burrowmon's Champion/Adult Lv. Sunguramon. Burrowmon(like Gatomon/Tailmon Digimon Adventure) prefers and is strong enough to maintain his Champion lv. Since this is his main form I decided it should come next in the model sheet series.

This is an excellent concept design and with a talented artist like you backing up the awesomeness,I feel you capture the justice on this piece.Character concepts like these make me wonder how lone wolfs' mind works to come up with this character piece. I enjoyed the facial expressions as well,this is another character to look forward to in the series.

He reminds me of a lot of things. Mainly- Ty the Tasmanian Tiger, Renamon, Bugs Bunny, Justimon, and a lot of other things. But he looks real awesome; he reminds me of the automail from FMA he could be a cyborg bunny. What were your inspirations for this?

To answer your question, I was mostly inspired by King Kazma from Summer Wars, though he does have a few similarities with Renamon, Justimon, and even Hare from Monster Rancher. Like a lot of people, I draw from what I've grown up on and/or has inspired me, most of my inspirations come from Sonic, Pokemon, Digimon, Dragon Ball Z, and a bit of Megaman thrown in there, but I have many other inspirations.

Wow! Those are some inspirations. I defiantly can see where the influence of Megaman was used for the arm. He does remind me of Renamon a bit, but looks more like Justimon. I wouldn't know about King Kazma since I haven't seen Summer Wars but I've heard of it. Oh yeah, is he data, vaccine, or virus?

I didn't really use Megaman for a ref for Sunguramon, but I did use Megaman X as a ref for Bomber Lagoramon (his Mega form). Sunguramon actually is partially derived from Justimon's data, hence the arm due to Burrowmon (his Rookie form) getting Justimon's data in Digimon MT's plot so in reality Sunguramon is not Burrowmon's "natural" Champion form. As for his attribute, Sunguramon is a Data Digimon, but he does have a Virus counterpart.

As I was coloring him I was like "did the NesQuick bunny get an upgrade?" xD
We both agreed on king kazuma from summer wars as inspiration. Though I'm not too sure where the rest of 's inspiration came from. I'll give him a heads up about your question so he can come here and post an answer for you.

Nice work on the Blitz Arm. Since Sunguramon is only Champion level, I'm assuming the power output is significantly lower than Justimon's. But it still would be a nice bluff, kind of like Betsumon.

Thanks. Yeah that thing is a pain to draw. When I got the original design from I was like dammmnnnn this guy is trying to make me rage quit the comic. I gotta draw that arm in so many panels. lol but practice makes perfect I appreciate him pushing my drawing limits with such an awesome design.
This isn't burrowmon's natural evo. Something happens in the story that he ends up like this and it does have something to do with a justimon. It's not as powerful as his as you correctly stated because of the lv differences but its strong enough to at least cripple an Ultimate/perfect lv digimon. Though it's a last resort type of thing due to the amount of power it uses.
But yeah in the story most Digimon won't mess with him knowing he has a blitz arm and being unaware of what lv. he actually is.
