Description
Made another Gears controller; wanted to perfect the design of the first one.Once again, the details are freehand.
The PCB mod only took about 10 minutes this time, and those LEDs are actually red

It's mostly just spray paint, and tape was used to make the shapes.

Another lovely controller! How did you get the logo text so accurately on the side? Was it hand-painted or a stencil, or some combination? (Again, really nice work.)

For the logo, I printed off the Gears title and then cut out all the letters and used them as a stencil for making masks out of masking tape.
After I sprayed over it, it was pretty messy so I just hand painted the rest.

Ah, I see. Did you use just regular printer paper, though? I feel like that would be way too flimsy to use as a stencil for such small lettering.

Yeah, it was regular paper. I just taped it down on the masking tape with clear tape and then cut it out with an X-acto knife.
