I can't wait to view and study it. Although I do a lot of masking, I'm sure that I'll learn something new. Thankies.

I don't know how much this will teach you as you already do so much great masking work, but I do hope you find something of interest here!

This won't teach you the basics, Kim, you'll need to keep an eye on the current topic on Ultra-Fractal-Redux for information on learning the fundamental principles and procedures. Once you do have an idea of how masking works, though, then this tutorial will take you a little way beyond the basics.

Good luck and I hope this eventually proves useful to you!

I haven't had a chance to look over this tutorial and I do feel I've got a pretty good grasp of masking but I'd be surprised if I didn't learn something.

I'm not sure if there's much for you to learn, you seem to be very good at masking as you say, but I would be delighted it it gave you some food for thought or inspiration.

This is a great tutorial! Really clearly explained and illustrated. I have used a couple of the masking methods in my fractals occasionally, but some are new, I particularly like no. 4. I can see how your fractals have these really lovely and complex backgrounds
