This barely took 20 minutes to make.... (Most of the time was actually spent organizing screenshots...) If you spend more time on it, I"m sure yours will end up looking pretty great. ^_^

I did this in Paint Tool SAI. for , who asked how to make it. I hope it kind of helps. ^_^

(NOTE: if you're putting something INSIDE the orb, add it on another layer between the orb and the glowing effect.)
