Description
A simple boolean technique for Bryce users.Enjoy it, and let me know if you have any difficulties!
As always, be creative and have fun!
EDIT: This tutorial was made with a symmetrical camera view, so you will need to drag the torus onto the sphere in Default mode. HOWEVER, I have now added a ZIP file with this tutorial and a .br5 file called SYMMETRY, which is perfect for this tutorial as well as symmetrical abstracts

Really good tut Vicky - as a "sidedish" to your tutorial i can mention that from 6.1 and onwards these booleans can be turned into real mesh objects for export to other programs for further refinements, and evt. polygon reduction, smoothing, and the like, they can then be brought back into Bryce for rendering

Thank you Arne! And thanks for the info, I wish 5.5 could export, but I'll have to make do with what I have!

Ok - but 7.0 probably isn't going to get that expensive

An excellent book to pick up is Susan Kitchens
"Real World Bryce 4", pretty much the must have
bible of Bryce. It goes into great detail on every
single aspect of the entire program.
Excellent tute, V... simple and direct!

You're welcome!
Buy it!! It was written for Bryce 4.0
but everything translates easily enough for use
with any version.

Thanks for sharing, I'm still trying to get my head around all the buttons/functions, how to add gradient/render, etc.
