First interior scene. Created this scene to challenge myself. The UV mapping, for me, was the frustrating part, but I'm happy with the finished result.

HELL YEA!!!! MAYA!!! lol It brings me back to my high school years. Good job. I remember making a pumpkin and making it jump up and down. I was really satisfied, but I preferred flash. I would occasionally play around with maya when I was bored in class. lol

Thanks . There's a lot to maya that I still don't know everything to this day. But it's so fun to experiment with different methods. The pumpkin sounds like it was dope as hell. Never done an animation in maya yet. Can't wait for it.

Wow, this is digital art? I genuinely mistook it for a photograph. I don't know much (read *anything*) about digital art but from a composition point of view I love what you've done here. The low light and soft colours are very calming. That said, maybe you could add some highlights to add interest? Just an idea though.

Yea a lot of people mistake it or have to do a double take
Highlights could be a good thing to possibly add more emphasis on a focal point. Thanks for the idea.

I think this looks really good for a first interior scene. Maybe bump up the reflectivity on the table a bit, and I think adding a glass object in front of the photo would make this look better! Great job with the lighting though! I was never able to do well with lighting a lamp. XD Texture looks great on the lamp shade too. Great job!

Thank you for the great comment. The reflectivity was the main thing brought up by those I showed. There is a glass frame in front of the photo but I think I should've put reflectivity on that as well. The lighting was so difficult lol. Took me awhile to get it just right.

for a first time its pretty cool man, altho you shoud have done a spec map and a reflectivity map on the table to give it that tad bit of realism,
