I'd love to know how would you interpret this work.
Go ahead and tell me what's in that cave
I started this work couple of weeks ago, never thought I'll finish it, because I didn't like the way it turned out at first. But today I got back to it anyway and finished it.

A lovely piece of work. Didn't see the helmet until after I looked at it rather closely; at first I thought it was another bit of the mountain.

I spot the guardian!
Inside that cave is a dim light, it can be seen from afar, and the local people call it "Glowworm." No one knows what's inside because no one has ever come out. Ever. Perhaps it is another world, perhaps it is something fierce and hungry, or perhaps it is what the desert people call a "mirage". ...... My imagination >.>

To me, the whole thing is something like portraying about a chapter of some sort of story. So, there is this cave in an icy mountain, and it is actually carved out from the mountain itself by a certain organisation (warriors of the northern land?). The cave is given a name: the Sleeping Guardian.
After decades or centuries, the cave has long been abandoned. Then, rumours were spreading around, stating that there is a mysterious and sacred man-made cave found in a mountain, a few miles away from a village. A group of adventurers kicked off and ventured bravely into the frozen land, curious of what the cave is hiding.
In this picture, the adventurers closes in to the Sleeping Guardian, and with their oil lamps glowing against the pale snow, they disappear behind the rocky walls.
Now, this is some wonderful inspiration for an adventurous story!

I see him! I see him! 
To me, the fire in the cave is the fiery passion and courage of the guardian's heart, which will never dim, but remain strong for the day that he must once again rise from his wintry hall of stone to defend his homeland.

at fisrt i couldn't spot the guardian but once the comments here helped me (...) i can't stop seeing more and more faces in those frozen mountains....
looks like the perfect trap for someone on the run in the cold.

I'm a fan of such icy pictures an this looks like my breath would freeze while the red glow symbolizes the hope that there is living and a warm fire.

The glowing is actually nothing else but the guardians burning hatred. Truth is, nothing is in this cave. Nothing is there that the guardian could guard.
Why? Its a trap, two kingdoms were at war, so one kingdom invented a legend of a mystical hammer in a glowing cave. They created this guardian, who doesn't guard but lures the bravest men of the enemy kingdom into an icy and meaningless death...
Due to the loss of the bravest heros the enemy kingdom lost the war.
There is now a saying "wherever fire meets snow, there rules death"
- as you can see, it is a very inspiring picture, I love it

It looks like a somewhat friendly cave, where people can go and walk around or hike, so the light looks like some people built a campfire there xD. but since there's still this huge guardian inside the wall sleeping, I bet there's something in this cave not yet discovered- but probably when it will get discovered that guardian will wake up and protect it from harm. In the meantime he stuck to his duty until today and became almost one with the walls of the cave, because he's protecting it for so long D:

Actually The Guardian is behind the cave
His face isn't there only the helmet is there tht too a cross between roman warrior helmet and vikings helmet
and the slope of mountain below helmet gives appearance of his body :-D

Im guessing a Wiking tomb of huge importance.
Either that or the guardians own family in his mortal life, that he wants to protect from scavangers for all time.
