First I have to say is that I really love your style you use in your drawing. Quite nice really. Now the whole 'sky and boy/girl running' tends to be a over done concept, but I actually really like the idea of adding in a shooting star (is that what it is?) But that really seems to give it a nice touch. The blending in the sky and the sky's highlights from the fading suns rays are really good~ Plus the bright stars off to the top left corner make it even more pleasing to the eyes. Also, you picked out a nice font for the words at the bottom. The only suggestion is the fact that the blue 'light spot' next to the runner takes away from the drawing.... I don't mind the placement, I just believe that the color does not really match all that well with the drawing in its self.

Ah, blue light spot was actually part of the filter for lighting/scattering camera effects (there should be the faintest shadow of a pinkish circle near the runner as well). But good point-- it does look a little random within the whole picture. Thanks for the critique! ^^

Was at a 6-hour race today.
... It has nothing to do with the pretty picture though

Thanks! The lyrics for that song make me want to keep painting using it as inspiration.

From the thumbnail I thought this was a photograph.
To me it has a handheld camera feel, somewhat bouncy, a bit blurry, but with some adrenaline and I love the energy it gives this.
My eyes keep drifting from the runner towards that amazing sky again and again, and that too adds to the movement.
I really love this.

Thank you! Having a reference for the sky was an immense help (and is also probably why it might have seemed like a photograph in the tiny thumbnail).

nice idea, colours and lighting

but those street lights have a really strange form and perspective

I got rid of them. Someday they may reappear when I figure out the perspective (and actually stop being so lazy and find a ref image for those). Thanks!
