Description Little thing dedicated to who is going mad at Pottermore in the hope she would get the House Cup on her own when as usual the dice are loaded to the benefit of, well, not of Slytherins... Snape knows it all.

<3 This is awesome. I was wondering why the Gryffindors were brewing with such abandon.

Actually, it is probably alright. If we count the high scores, we already reach the total number...So probably these high scores are not taken in account and only our miserable little points counts....

Is Dumbledore still Headmaster? That would explain a lot... (any reference to PS is casual...)

How are the dice loaded to them when Slytherin keeps slithering to the lead? XD

Vizen In reply to Kabudragon [2011-09-18 07:27:30 +0000 UTC]

The high scores of the Gryffindor champions : more than 5,000 points in the last days (only with potions?) - looks like some major Dumbledore's intervention ... (and if Slytherins keep the lead, that's because they are fighting good xd)

Kabudragon In reply to Vizen [2011-09-18 22:59:39 +0000 UTC]

but even so, if we have such high scores you'd think it would show in our total house points...

Vizen In reply to Kabudragon [2011-09-19 11:56:28 +0000 UTC]

Sure, those are probably fictive scores/the scores of the programmers and they are not taken in account.

What a perfect title! Snape was the best professor at Hogwarts, but he would have scared the hell out of me in potions class! That expression is priceless and I love the glowing green potion!

I'm quite done with Potions at Pottermore at the moment. I just brewed a sleeping draught, it said it had 100 min to brew, and to come back later, and when I left the potions area it erased any indication that I had brewed a thing. My cauldron was just empty - poof! Very frustrating.

Wow, so many bugs in the activities still... I'm beginning to doubt they open the site to all in October if there are such issues with only a fraction of the number that would gain access then.

SamanthaLenore In reply to noleme [2011-09-18 16:47:38 +0000 UTC]

I assume they'll still open it when they said they would, but I wouldn't be surprised if people are still encountering bugs once they do.

By the way, is the public release for the end of October or the beginning?

I thought I remember it being October 1st.

Judging by what 90% of the posts about the site say on mugglenet, they're going to be swarmed by thousands of potions-related complaints then.
Don't get me wrong - I'm looking forward to getting on Pottermore. But if the Potions complaints (and the rumours that the current number of members is still less than a half of the total number of betas) are any indication, it seems like it might be prudent to sort out the bugs first before opening the site to public. JMO.

I agree, but site releases generally don't work like that. If they promise a 'go live' date, they will meet it whether they are 100% ready or not. Sadly, that is the state of the internet.

I think that part of the reason that the number of current registered accounts does not equal the number of beta slots filled, is because there were people who opened something like 20 accounts during the quill challenge. This is expressly against the rules, and when people started calling them on this, I'm willing to bet they just abandoned those other accounts rather than sell them, or give them away as they were originally planning. It's also possible that Pottermore noticed this after the quill challenge was closed, and just never sent welcome emails to multiple accounts set up under the same email address. I also have heard of people who lost access to the email accounts they registered with after the challenge, or those who forgot the password to the email account they used to register.

Thank you XD - really. They evanesco our potions, obviously. More seriously (lol), I suspect the developers of the site have Gryffindor accounts, what would explain the 9,655 points they got lately...

Same thing with me. It works if I don't move from there but it erases the potion if I visit the other page. So irritating.
