OMG, I FINALLY finished this!And it's a tutorial!
I started at it such a long time ago. But I didn't expect that a tutorial was such hard work! Today I told myself that I MUST finish this... else it would never happen xD
Actually I think this drawing is pretty old... I better could make a tutorial with one of my newest drawings, but that would mean I had to start all over again :'D
As you can see I lost patience for a nice lay-out at the end of the tutorial
And... since I started at this a long time ago I can't remind anymore who made the brushes or the texture, but it's not mine anyway >_< If somebody knows please tell me (:
Forgive me for my typos... I suck at english and I'm too lazy to corect them.
I believe I used more than 70 layers
If you have any questions feel free to ask me

How did you colour parts of the body without leaving lines?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
VK-oelala In reply to marshybarks [2012-03-04 16:07:04 +0000 UTC]
Well,I always try to make the parts as small as possible since big areas leave lines while coloring. Besides that you can also try to color in circles. Not exactly circles... but by moving your marker in that way if you know what I mean. It's kind of hard to explain since my english sucks haha
However this should really help to prevent lines!

for the pastels where you said that you made dust then put it on with toilet paper- were they chalk? or oil pastels?

I don't usually speak english so i'm sure to understand all your tutorial...
So tell me if I'm wrong : you use a very light color to see were you would put the sahdows. Then you make it darker with several colors (minimun two I think). Then you cover all with the lighter color and finally put the darker one....?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
VK-oelala In reply to Capuline [2011-01-11 16:18:15 +0000 UTC]
You got it right though!
Although I need something to explain about the last dark layer. I don't always put another darker layer over it, I only do that when the colors aren't blended smoothly with the previous layers. That way I just try again to blend them with putting another dark layer over it so that layer will easily blend with the ones underneath it.
... it's kind of hard to explain >.>

I wanted to pull the shell off the marker but instead of that I pulled the whole inside of the marker with it Anyway, You can just pull it back and it works fine now (:
