Friend, I am confused, how can I sew lunas hair and tail on? And what r the E3 ect things?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Voodoo-Tiki In reply to colossalJinx [2013-02-21 12:14:24 +0000 UTC]

You can attach manes and tails with a ladder stitch. I don't understand the other question - do you mean the pattern markings? They show you where to sew the pieces together and in what order.

Thank you so much for doing this!!!! I can't say thank you enough. My daughter who is 8 is in love with the new and old MLP I have to say I am a fan myself. But I have been searching for months, and every time I get close on ebay, or amazon they out bid me or sell out to fast. Today I bid 50usd on a pattern and was over bid. I was nearly in tears I had just found one and poof gone. You saved me, thank you sooooooooo much. Merry Christmas from Colorado.

Thanks so much for posting a pattern and a tutorial to go with it!! Im going to attempt a DJ PON-3 with it I do have a question... what is the best way to make a horn on the doll?

Thanks again for sharing your pattern!!!!!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Voodoo-Tiki In reply to Iron-Slave [2012-10-06 16:46:15 +0000 UTC]

There's a tutorial for adding horns in the gallery - basically, you can make one with two triangles or a cone, and attach it with a ladder stitch. Or you can substitute the beginner pattern's head, which has a horn option.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 0

andrewtheawkward [2012-10-01 20:27:01 +0000 UTC]

how do you make it with wings and horns? Because I want to make an alicorn

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Voodoo-Tiki In reply to andrewtheawkward [2012-10-02 00:24:37 +0000 UTC]

You can use the wings from the beginner pattern, and the horn is just two triangles & attach with a ladder stitch.

Are we allowed to sell plushies made from this pattern? If not, could I buy the pattern from you?

You can sell them, I just ask for attribution so other people can find the free pattern here if they want to use it.

J00DoNotSeeMe [2012-08-04 01:50:14 +0000 UTC]

What material would you recommend using for a mane/tail for someone who's trying to get a specific structure?
To be honest I know what sort of material would probably work best but I'm having trouble recalling the name. I'm looking for something that I could shape with wires to keep a semi-solid shape, specifically for a Rarity plushie.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Voodoo-Tiki In reply to J00DoNotSeeMe [2012-08-04 04:22:06 +0000 UTC]

Fleece would be best, since it's rather thick and you wouldn't be able to see the wires pressing through it.
