Description
I put it up on my tumblr but figured I might as well post it here since several people have asked about it. (A birthday present from me to you)There aren't any instructions but it's basically a cube so it's pretty easy to figure out.
Some notes:
"2, 1R" means to cut two pieces, one mirror-imaged. Same with 4, 2R.
The arrow shows the direction the pile should be going, if you use fabric with a pile (minky, velvet, faux fur, velour, etc). For a smooth fabric like fleece or felt, you don't need to worry about them.
If you're making a unicorn, you cut the face piece with the horn included, and one extra horn pieces, sew the horn parts together right sades facing, turn the horn and then fold down so it's on the inside of the body as you're sewing it - it will be on the outside when you turn it.
For a pegasus, sew all around the wings then make a small slit on one side of the wing to turn it right side out. Make sure you have a right and left wing, and sew them to the body with a ladder stitch, hiding the turning opening against the body. The lines are a guide to make long stitches to define the feathers.
Stuffing it with plastic "beanie" pellets will give it a nice heft.
Here's the one I made: [link]
I used minky for the body and scraps of long pile faux fur for the mane and tail.
You could also modify the shape of the ears and tail and face details to make this into all sorts of different animals.

Justo Put the body and belly together first then put the face and butt on. It was really easy to figure out for me.

Glad you're enjoying it! Don't worry too much about the stitching, all things improve with practice.

Okay I know I'm going to sound like an idiot but I have seen so many different types of pony loafs that I have to ask. On the ears it has a dotted line that says stitch here, does this mean that wen I sew the sides to the head I stitch the ears close? or does it mean tack here so that the ears pinch in a little?

Voodoo-Tiki In reply to TastyNekoStudios [2013-02-03 16:13:07 +0000 UTC]
What you do is sew around the ears on the solid line, then, before you turn it right side out, turn just the ears and take a few stitches along that line. That keeps the stuffing from getting up into the ears and making them look like horns. You could also turn it and then make a few tacking stitches at the base of the ear from the outside, but doing it the other way is neater.
