Woah. I just kept staring at it for like 10 minutes.  Even while writing this I scrolled back up and did a new staring session Gawd. This is really amazing! Love your style!

Do you mean when the brown moved to the more bluish? It's autocontrast and autocolor (but they're really extreme, so it's best if you do it at the end with a new layer so you can control the extremes) C: After that, there's selective blurring and such.

Yes, i was talking about this effect!
Thank you so much, i was searching for it for ages Q 7 Q

Also, i'm sorry if i'm asking too much questions- what kind of brushes do you use, and what are you setting please?
I'm a total noob with photoshop, especially brushes, so i don't know if i have to download new ones or if i should use the default ones

Ohh no problem, glad I could help!

No worries, I'm happy to answer questions C: I use basic Photoshop brushset for almost everything - usually the round. My settings vary a lot on opacity, size pressure and hardness. I recommend getting a grasp of the basic set first, then expand to additional brushes. It's fun to collect brushsets by other artists, but in the end they just lag PS if you load too many and many are only useful for very very specific occasions and often depends on painting style.

Handsome, this is enjoyable fallowing your progress ! I really like this illustration of AC. I like the final touch a bit of 3D reliefs (it seems)

Always interesting to see the process, I think one can learn from it too. And it makes me happy everytime I see somebody working with a messy sketch (lol); mine are so messy sometimes even I don't understand what's going on in there ahaaha

Yes, I usually have stick-figure sketches xP this one is actually the cleanest I've probably ever done haha.

afssgfsd this is so awesome * v *

i love seeing people's progress, its always interesting!

how long (roughly) did this take though?

vtas In reply to yomiu [2013-08-01 09:56:37 +0000 UTC]

Thanks!

Hmm, it's been awhile... haha, I'm guessing around ~8 hrs? Well, actually, that's not true. I lost about half of the illustration on accident through a mis-save, so, it might've been longer than usual. But I did finish it in one sitting, so probably less than 10 hrs.

How many layers did you end up using?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

vtas In reply to streaac [2013-08-01 04:10:55 +0000 UTC]

That's hard to say - I generally delete layers as I go. Layers for me are only a means of separating unfinished portions and portions I'm satisfied with. You can read about my layer process here: fav.me/d4grn7e
