Description
This is another older piece, well the pencils are, with a recent pimped out CG color treatment. This is a bit of concept image art for an animated TV series proposal our studio has in the works, one of several. The pencils on this piece were fully shaded and then treated with polyurethane, which tends to tint the paper yellow to sepia, depending on what type used and it also boosts the contrast of the pencils darks a great deal. Now of course going in with CG effectively makes that tinting pretty much moot but the contrast and dirty texture of the pencils remain giving the piece a rough dirty lived in feel. This piece is a prototype of future work in this project's setting which is a very neo noir dark dystopian urban landscape. This project is also very heavily littered with an art deco aesthetic hence the deco-ish diner. The little mech fella in there is a bio-organic entity of which populate the setting with human beings. I always liked this one so I thought I'd toss it up here.
