If you enjoy my work by all means please feel free to drop by our Patreon and lend some support. There's a great deal of full resolution work posted there that has never been posted before along with a lot of content for one dollar tier tip jar style contributions: www.patreon.com/VulneProAnd, yet another batch of Theos weaponry. This time we have a collection of Stein Shettiers (TKP Rifles). Some long rifles, machine shettes, and shotgun lookin' delios. Most of the weapons pictures are actually designed to be used by sendai so their configurations are somewhat odd. Though some of these can be used by humans as clearly the two machine guns are more conventional handle trigger layouts.
The dish looking things on the sides of several of the long barrel weapons are not scopes or intended to put your eye into. They are optic targeting and ranging sensors so the sendai only has to point the weapon itself rather than worry about aiming with it's own eyes. The weapon becomes it's eyes for the purpose of targeting. Not all shettiers have this functionality but many designed for sendai do (same goes the the bigger weapons designed for FOILs).
All these were quickie thumb roughs. Though these are clean thumbs they're still just roughing out shapes and such. If I take any to final illos I imagine various aspects of the shapes and configurations of the designs will potentially get tweaked or changed.
More goodies to come in da fyucha!
Cheers!

Edit: I just realized I forgot to finish adding logo text to some of the weapons. Doh! I'l get to that soon as an update

If one of these were meant to be a shotgun, then I'll be among the first to try it out...otherwise, I'll be wanting to go crazy with that SMG at the bottom (I favor close-combat guns, so I favor shotguns, assault rifles, and SMGs).

I love the very bottom one myself. Though I hope that thing has no recoil otherwise you're gonna stab yourself in the face.
I love these concepts. Kinda wish they were real.

This looks pretty sweet, the rifles look like a cross between future and civil war era tech

My thanks Aye you have it right, that's somewhat the vibe. I covered some of this in replies above as well
Humanity, in the story, has a fractured sense of history so ideas from the past resurface in mixed up and unique ways.

My thanks Rob and, as you'll see in my reply to Kai above, I noted the old school/new school kinda philosophy I have with these things

And it shows through in your execution. You've found a way to marry the aesthetics of flintlocks and railguns on the same weapon rack!

2nd from the bottom is my fav. Reminds me so much of the light rifle from Heavy Gear (dream pod 9 really has some fantastic weapon and gear designs). Its kinda like a H&K mp5 with an extended, more boxy looking barrel guard (with grooves running the entire length just like your 1st gun from the top).
The 5th one's awesome as well!

Hey there Kai! Nice to see you drop in and thank you for the kind comments man
Ahh yes Dream Pod 9. I got on their freelancers list but we never touched bases from there and I lost touch. Yeah, they do a lot of cool stuff.
Aye the two more classic machine guns (2nd and 3rd from bottom) I did make kinda evoke something like the MP5. Many of these were launched off of something real world but really went into my mental Theos mutation blender from there. A lot of the long rifles were inspired by old musket and shotgun shapes and configurations. As with a lot of the Theos stuff it's a very mutated retro yet futuristic vibe. It's really just a lot of fun coming up with this stuff as clearly you know that feeling as well
Thanks man and always best!

Oh yeah Always is, especially when a project is close to the heart! It just makes it all the more bittersweet because you want it to be perfect (though it will never be!).

Very cool Mike, the 4th from the bottom looks just like a gun I designed (that didn't get approved ) for the game I'm working on. You've got some really unique and interesting ideas here - love it!

Thanks Travis, I appreciate the kind words Coolio on doing something similar but bummer it didn't make it in the game
Glad the stuff comes off unique, I have a lot of work form this project in the oven and it's all pretty grounded in a unified sense of art direction. The TKP setting is pretty clear to me what it is.

I really love the rifle second from the top. It's basic shape is simple, but then when you look closely you see quite a few details. They are all nice, but that one caught my eye.

My thanks for the kind words Yeah, the second from the top is actually one of my favorite of the bunch as well. My overall approach on weapons design is to maintain a clean and uncluttered aesthetic. Most real world weapons tend to follow this principle anyway but there are always exceptions of course. Clean designs tend to look visually more pleasing as they hold stronger lines and visual unity.

Yeah. I mean it's ok to make it look kind of odd if it's ornamental, but a practical weapon is all about form meeting function and ease of use. Seems like quite a few of them grabbed some ideas from the P-90 machine gun. ^_^ (One of my favorite guns.)
