~Tobio Tenma sketchdump~

1. Tobio says: (if you can't read it) "Why, dad? Why can't you love him? He's my brother... He was supposed to be special..." (Tobio is more than disappointed in Tenma for rejecting his robot son. He wishes people would be more kind/understanding to robots...)

2. Tobio says: "Hey! You leave that poor kid alone, you big bullies!!" (I can see Astro 'inheriting' some of Toby's personality. What if Toby was just as much a hero as Astro is? I like this idea a lot.)

3. Brothers. Mom and I made an AU where Toby survives, but Astro still gets built (in the 80's version, Astro was still going to be built as a boy robot regardless of Toby's death). They live together with their father Tenma, as brothers.

4. Astro is sad. This was inspired by the Devil Balloons episode, where Skunk makes everyone hate Astro via some exploding balloons that hardly look like him. It always hurts when people turn the public against you, especially if you're a child.

5. So Tobio does his best to cheer him up...

6. Toby, sketched by my mom. She let me post this here. I was going to add more to this sketchdump, but I think it's wise to leave it here, on a thought-provoking note.

Hope you like it! ^^ I was having an artist's block for a few days now, but drawing Tobio and Astro is helping me get out of it. If anyone else is a fan of the Tenma brothers' platonic brotherly relationship, let me know in the comments below! <3
