Description More FranBarb!

This time, they're walking in the snow in their winter outfits. ^^

I just had to try out my idea to use silver glitter for the snow. It's so sparkly!!

it looks awesome

and yeh my glitter tends to show up as black spots instead of shiny spots, especially with a scanner. it's tricky stuff D: always looks better irl ;n;

i originally always wanted to use glitter on the light-colored spots but i think actually it looks better for dark areas. that dark red dress you did looked fantastic but whenever i ever use it on light-colored stuff it turns out like this, being too dark. I HAS LEARNED SOMETHING NEW BECAUSE OF U KTHX.

the ppl look awesome tho, this particular fandom works great with your art style

It looks soooo shiny and sparkly irl! I love it.

But yeah the dark spots tend to be a problem. This was actually one of the better pictures I took. Some of the spots are sparkly, but others are little poppyseeds.. noooo...

Hurray! I love the Simpsons style. It's round-ish without too many hard edges.

yush, it is like, they shift between shine and shadow, so if they are all over the pic then some will be on the shine phase and others on the shadow phase. to get them all to shine at the same time they need to all be in the same area together so the light is all hitting them at the same time. it was really hard to do but the main reason i gave up tho was cuz the lighting in our house sucks + the camera we have has terrible focus -.-

but u should keep doing it and see what all u can do with it!

That's true. Maybe a picture outside would help? Though I don't know what to do about the camera. Maybe you can get a special lens for it?

Thanks. I'll do my best. I've found that while this background glitter is hit and miss, if you just add glitter to smaller parts of the picture (aka a character's eyeshadow, skirt, etc.) it looks better. Keeping it focused to 1-3 small areas seems best.

yes, if it's all in one area it seems to do better. i did mine sort of balanced thruout and i had a lot of trouble with it being spread out that far. it really looks like a "less is more" kind of thing

pics work best to go outside on a bright sunny day and take a pic in the shade, but that means i can only take pics on clear weather, and winter when everything is wet + windy is just a nightmare

I'm glad I've figured that out. It's far less stressful to just keep the glitter in one small area.

True. I'll admit I still take my pics indoors, then brighten them up in the photo editing program Picasa 3.
