I caved, here's my first Kiara and Kovu fancub!

Name: Nea (pronounced: Ne-A) [Swahili, meaning: Lustrous]
Parents: Kiara and Kovu
Littermates: Mlinzi and Anasa
Title: Princess
Voiceclaim: Kimberly Brooks

Nea was a very anxious cub growing up. Everything caused some form of anxiety or worry. She was wary of playing and or going far from Pride rock. Nea loved going to royal lessons and learning the many ways Pridelanders in history handled situations. Simba and Nala would joke she was the exact opposite of Kiara growing up. . She would often tag along with her two brothers, Mlinzi and Anasa when outside. She felt safe and comfortable to joke around and be herself with them. Other cubs would often teased those worried furrowed eyebrows of hers when she would decline playing and preferred to keep to her studies and family lessons. Most of the teasing and bullying started because the other cubs assumed Nea thought she was ‘better’ than them.

The rainy season began in the pridelands. One cloudy morning after a long week of rain, many cubs agreed to sneak out together after being stuck in the den for so long. Nea wasn't invited but she heard them planning and quickly confronted the others. She told them all the dangers of leaving and wait for the adults to decide if they could play. The cubs all dismissed and bullied her before running outside. Nea was hurt and at a loss of words. After finally coming to her senses Nea went to wake her siblings and parents to tell what happened. She didn't care they saw her as a 'tattletale'. Kiara and Kovu comforted their crying daughter and told her she did the right thing. Kovu then woke Vitani and the others to help find the cubs.

Mlinzi, Anasa and Nea begged to go with Kiara and Kovu on the search for the cubs. They agreed, wanting the troublesome cubs to apologize to Nea once found. As they searched the backside of Priderock... The ground shook followed by a loud rumble. It all happened so fast. Nea was following close behind Kovu, as he looked over to the direction of the sound he realized. A rockslide. All the rain had caused a part from the peak of Pride rock to finally crack and tumble down. The force of nature was tumbling towards them. Kovu turned back to grab Nea in his mouth, much like how his mother used to hold him. He quickly jumped away with her. Despite Kovu thinking he got far enough away from the path of destruction, some rocks of varying size scattered all around and slammed both him and daughter. Kovu's upper chest got hit by a few smaller rocks however a large one landed a critical hit on the right side of Nea's head. The instant it hit her she blacked out.

As the dust and earth settled Kiara ran over crying out their names with Mlinzi and Anasa following behind. They saw the whole thing and were unable to do anything to help. Kovu was able to stand despite his injuries and was still holding his precious daughter. They rushed Nea to the den and alerted Rafiki they needed him. Blood was gushing out of a gash on Nea's head. Kiara held Nea in her arms as Kovu tended to the wound until Rafiki arrived. The cubs were found by Vitani and the other lionesses moments before the rockslide began, when they all rushed back to Pride rock in horror.

It took two days for Nea to finally wake up. However when she did, the world was a painful ringing sound. Voices muffled and hardly comprehensible. She was just a little cub, that rock alone caused severe brain damage and even crushed her right eardrum. Nea was now partially deaf and was experiencing the many symptoms of such a blow. Her family and pride was just grateful she was alive. Kiara and Kovu did everything to assure Nea had aid and support for her disability. They wanted her to be able to be happy and grow despite her hearing and mental impairment. Despite everything that happened, Nea still wanted to be queen. She wanted to continue her family's legacy after all they fought for. She wanted to prove to her future kingdom that even a disabled lioness could be queen.

Sadly those cubs who caused the entire event haven’t changed much despite growing up, as they still look down on Nea and don’t see how she could be future queen. They are much more quiet about it though, only speaking ill of her when any of the adults or Nea’s siblings are around.
