BURBAIDUM - Father of Lies

Burdum was a man created for the soul purpose of bringing back faith in the lords, showing the people a great deal of humble actions.
Burdum did not know that the lord had already set his fate, but given such a soul so innocent, it left Burdum victim to lies.
The devil knew the lord created a being pure, and heard that if he did succeed, the lords above would only get stronger, a kink in his plans were already set ... unless.
So the devil created a woman, so fair, beautiful, and everything a man could visually dream of, Lyra. Her fate, to place an ear worm in Burdums body, and subject him to the dark voices of corruption.
Lyra knowing her fate already lacked the interest. She wanted nothing to do with Burdum, but threatened and punished by the devil to continue, she complied.
It was only until she crossed paths with Burdum, easily tricking him with a plea for help, that she truly saw the purity in this man that the devil desired for his own.
Time passes, it is quite clear that Burdum has fallen for Lyra, she plays with his hearts strings easily, yet when she attempts to get close Burdum is quick to leave her side. She comes to realize that Burdum clearly in love with her, is also very unsure in trusting her now.

Of course, the lords catch word of this creature tainting their 'son', and they set plans to steal her away, as they don't know where she came from, and who she is. So the lords request a reaper to 'thin the herd a little'.
However as time pressed on, Burdum and Lyra have become greatly close, and when the reaper comes to take her, it is found to late, for she had already planted the ear worm, and with great regret. Lyra truly fell for Burdum, and he for her.
So much time has passed now and Burdum is victim to the ill infection that is corruption, he weeps in sorrow and depression, no longer caring for those around him, and losing hope for all lords children. A very strict narrow point of view Burdum has now, and even in his madness he thinks to commit suicide to end it all.
The lords have stopped watching their son, sickened by his disease.
Burdum pledges his body and soul to the dark, as he commits the 'sin' of ill suicide. Yet in his wake he finds no gates, and no flames.
Burdum is trapped in a world of greyscale and sorrow, time doesn't matter here.

The Devil begins his plans, as he watches Burdum trapped inside limbo, waiting till almost every drop of hope is drained, and he has nothing left to think for but hate.
Confronting him like a friend the devil comforts Burdum, and Burdum to lost, unknowing of who he is, and has no reaction to give other then a glare. The devil tells Burdum that he's been watching him, and is very saddened by the outcome of his life, and the woman he so loved. The devils tells Burdum to join him in the dark, and he can give him reason again, and a chance to be with Lyra, at the request for one thing. That Burdum becomes a Hells Knight. Burdum didn't know of this stature, and sharply tells the devil off. However the devil knows how to pull his harp strings and lures Burdum back with the vision of Lyra. She is his weakness. Burdum cant resist but stare, and sorrow over her. Without further pressuring the devil steals away Burdum from limbo, and sends him to his trials.

The Trials are vague, and Burdum only knows of the first view given to him. Mostly slaughter pesky under dwelling beasts. At first Burdum didn't seem to interested, but it was only until the Devil gave him his next set of trials, and told him he must craft his every own Hellion Sword. Yet again at first he wasn't to moved by this task, until he began really putting his effort and thought into the sword, and found that it was almost alive, and starving. The Devil gave him his last trial and told him that he most hunt a thousand beasts, consume their power and feed his sword and himself for succession. Burdum did just that. Absorbing so much power that he and his sword grew great in mass, like a giants child.
Burdum requested if he was a Hells Knight yet, but of course the Devil said no, that he was no were close to a Hell's Knight. So Burdum furthered his question asking what he must do. The devil grins, and confesses a great deal of torture, pain, and shameful trials that he must endure first, and then a true test of his loyalty to him will seal the deal, but that's if he passes.
