I think it might have been a suit sadly. I dunno, they did mention at the end it was an allergic reaction to crawfish, I'd have to re watch it

Well, since Buffy starlet Sarah Michelle Gellar fleshed out the character in the live-action movie, she brought Daphne away from being monster bait and transformed her into a monster hunter.

A monster hunter with a familiarly quirky sense of humor...
