Oh my God, this is beautiful!! I can hardly imagine that you spent 100 hours to put this together, but it looks just gorgeous. Awesome work, just... wow.

That is actually amazing. I mean, I can't even really visualize the process of sticking together 50,000 beads with a pair of tweezers to produce art.

This is amazing. Β D:
Question... what do you find to be the largest difference in handling PixelHobby vs. ironing beads like Perler or Hama? Β I'm not familiar enough with them, but it looks like you get a tremendous amount more of color options with these.

PixelHobby beads are smaller so I need to use a tweezer to place them in the right spot. Β So you trade out the speed of Perler beads for the greater detail you get with PixelHobby. Β As you stated you also don't need to iron which is a not really that big of a deal, after doing enough Perler projects you get fairly good at ironing so really not much to fear in the ironing.
My main reason for using PixelHobby beads is I was running out of room to put my Perler/Hama pieces. Β They were quickly getting larger and larger and filled up my walls. Β Using PixelHobby allows me to take more time and they take up less space, so it worked for me.

This is fantastic, where do you find the various colored beads? (I'm used to only seeing florescent)

These are PixelHobby beads, not the same as Perler beads that you may be referring to.

They are different. After working with Perler beads trying to get colors to match, choosing images that are not too big, and frustrations with ironing....these almost feel a bit like cheating.

It's not necessasarily cheating. It's kinda like cross stitch but with beads. It still takes some amount of patience and skill.

Yeah, I can't paint or draw to save my life...at least these let me feel somewhat artistic. Sort of like everyone using auto-tune now because they know they can't sing.

Well, when it comes to pixel hobby beads, it's hard to make your own designs. But as far as Perlers and Hamas go, it's a little easier to make your own. I'm currently working on a piece of my own design. A couple actually. Maybe you should try some free lance 3D Perler/Hama stuff. It'd be neat to see what you could come up with. Hell, I bet you could be the next DocOctoroc. ^_^
