well, as a true sign of how little time I have for drawing comics, here's an idea I had way back since E3 and FINALLY got drawn and posted mere hours before I go to pick up the game at the store. When I first heard the preview at E3 basically spoil the third act twist I was a bit flabbergasted, but then I realized that this is exactly what happened in just about any game where Eggman tried to control some supernatural force or technology he didn't build himself (with the exception of Sonic Unleashed, Dark Gaia went out of control but not until after Sonic took Eggman out, same with the time eater from generations.) So I thought I'd include this cute little montage of Eggman's greatest failures (3 of which involved having to team up with Sonic, the other 2 relying on Sonic to save his rotund behind.)You know what? Add the crazy black hole generating robot from Sonic Riders Zero Gravity to this list too...

Emerl is the gizoid, meaning he was stupid enough to use the same trick twice and have it backfire on him the same way both times...But to his credit he didn't technically lose control of Dark Gaia, Dark Gaia only went on a rampage after Sonic destroyed the technology that was keeping all that power in check. Even then Dark Gaia never attacked Eggman directly.

Poor Eggman, he's just tying to save the little animals that sonic turns into chili dogs and eats. Ever noticed how he's not saving the little birds and what not anymore?

one problem. Mephiles and Iblis nevered worked for Eggman. And they were using everyone.

but Eggman WAS using Iblis to power his time machine, just like with Dark Gaia. He wasn't controlling the entity itself, but merely siphoning its power.

The story's filled with plot-hole as it is so I just make stuff that would make sense. like using the Time Stone's instead of Chaos Emeralds and the part of Solaris being an entity, let alone a time god, was be a lie made by Mephelis, and was in fact a prison.

Should his non-sentient mind-control ray from Sonic Colors count? It literally blew up in Eggman's face and nearly sucked Eggman into a black hole. And it was doomed long before Sonic even KNEW about it.

ehh...a big gun you built backfiring doesn't really count as a betrayal, but I think the evil queen wisp from the DS version of that game actually does count and I forgot her.

ha, well I don't think Mario & Sonic are canon with either regular series, but if they DID make an in canon crossover between the franchises that would be AWESOME. (Smash Bros ALMOST counts but not quite)
