Um... that's just it, when a cousin had a child, then that child became a second cousin to their parent's cousin and even if Neji and Hinata had a sister/brother relationship, they are still technically cousins, those Negi and Himawari are second cousins.

Also most Asian cultures don't have that 2nd, 3rd, 4th cousin stuff. (I get all get confuse with that western philosophy...and don't get the whole 'once remove' bit as well...

I call my parents's cousins aunt/uncle and my cousin's kids call me auntie.
Asian family culture is all about ranking, you can really offend someone if you use the wrong title.Β
Most of my non-Asian friends get confuse...shoot my cousins get confuse! They always ask what they are suppose to call people at family gatherings. Lol
