Description
Buffed Ability: Minus - In addition to its old function, whenever it switches in, it removes negative stat changes from its opponent and allies, and whenever this occurs, this user's stats are raised depended on the implied stats (i.e. reduced Attack = Pokémon with Minus have raised Attack), each of them by one stage.Help out Teammates with Undenun! A follow up from Oveplus , as since I gave an evo for Plusle, it wouldn't be fair if I don't give one to its Doubles Counterpart, would it? Unlike Plusle, Minun seems to focus for a more defensive stat distribution while being just as fast... but none of its stats are impressive enough to worth using in the long run. Well, unless you decided to go crazy with Nasty Plot, as I've seen a fellow Discord user called Aquatic who managed to sweep the entire team of Siebold, the Water-type Elite Four of Kalos, with just a Minun. Without the Minun being overleveled at all. At least that's from what I can recall.
That aside, Minun isn't something you should use in competitive as there are better Pokémon who can serve as a support ally in Doubles format. With Undenun, it is able to perform much better than Minun would ever be able to. While it become slower, it compensates with quite a big base HP of 135 and Special Defense of 110. Not only this makes it a much more effective user of Wish, but it also allows it to endure Special moves much better. It can also help out with Helping Hand, Sweet Kiss, Sing or Electro Web for various purposes.
Be warned, as Volt Absorb, unless you expect your opponent to use an Electric-type move on your Electric-weak Pokémon, is situational, and Minus only becomes useful if an ally with this or Plus comes in (though needless to say, Oveplus can get crazy with it's Special Attack when both comes in). It's Defense, while quite an improvement over Minun's wimpy 50, is still relatively weak and left it vulnerable to Earthquake and won't be able to survive against physical wallbreakers.
... And before you ask "But WW, wouldn't that make Lanturn even more obsolete with that Electric / Water typing?" Well, I already made an evo for Lanturn... alongside many Pokemon that could use one, back in around 2011/2012 during Generation 5.
