Description
A guide made to help understand how Rabicano works in Celtic Warlanders. Below are simple rules to make designing a little easier:
☘️ The marking on the tail is often called "Coon" tail.
☘️ Rabicano STARTS at the tail. Your horse can just display the coon tail.
☘️ Flank stains are not a must, they are a secondary feature of rabicano.
☘️ Flank stains cannot happen alone, if the coon tail is not present it's not a real rabicano.
☘️ Rabicano stains can naturally extend to the throat, chest and back of the horse though this is rare.
☘️ Rabicano like any white marking will undergo "boosting" when another paint gene is present. General rule of thumb is White + White = 2x White
Foal accuracy (for those that want realism in coats):
☘️ Rabicano is a progressive marking, meaning foals are not born displaying it!
☘️ Rabicano starts to show at the base of the tail and slowly spreads.
☘️ With each shed (they happen twice a year) a foal's rabicano will spread till it reaches it's maximum extent (up to the owner how fast this will happen).
