She is a character that I played in a Firefly/Serenity RPG, so she was not an inmate for very long... about five minutes of one adventure. The adventure started with her working on a chain gang, cleaning up after a big horse race (kind of like the Kentucky Derby). Some people showed up in a ship to make off with the winning horse, and Twigz manage to escape along with them.
