Description
PRINT NOW AVAILABLE ON DeviantART.Hey everyone! So... I decided to do a lil study for myself to help understand certain things about the female shape and form better (stomach in particular). Im no expert at anatomy, so theres definitely more accurate interpretations out there by other artists, but thought Id share it with you all anyway.
Hope you enjoy!
• Pencils and colour done in Photoshop CS3 by Wacom Intuos 3
EDIT UPDATE - Discovered a line I didnt connect that carries on from the ribs, passed the hips and runs down into the leg muscle that reaches the knee area.

You really have an amazing understanding of structure and balance.
It reminds me of when i was kid and I was told any one who wanted to put a pencil to paper could draw. Then as I got older I realized that was a load of crap. any one who can put a pencil to paper can make marks on the paper. To truthfully draw something like you self. it takes something wired different in the head.
Much props man.
sorry i know its late. just found you.

hey there! i have a question for you. i'm in the middle of a drawing of my OC at the moment and im finding your anatomy study extremely useful for her stance and position.
i just wanted to know if it was alright that i post it when it's done as long as i give you credit and link back to you in the artist's statement.
i'm a very honast person and wont take credit for something i didnt do, so i wanted to ask you before i uploaded.

Even though you claim not to be an expert on anatomy, it is very good indeed, so don't sell yourself short!

i think that muscle or ligament that runs from the outer hips to the inner part of the knees is called the sartorius... grab an anatomy book on muscles n skeleton,.. it helps a bit,. i took a semester on muscles n bones and it helps a lot in figuring out the human form!

You may not consider yourself an expert; me, I just think you're modest. You definitely have a talent for bringing imaginary characters to full flesh-and-blood life (Felicia of Darkstalkers as one example). And these sketches are waaaaaay beyond anything most artists I watch can do. Keep at it, though; you can always improve your skills.

hey man this is great! couldn't possibly convince you to do something similar, but from a few different angles could, could i? most in particularly from behind, and at 3/4 view. that would flesh out the understanding of some of us i'm sure.
