youre right gridlining does interrupt the flow of a drawing..I like to get it over with and then do all the shading because I hate it so much but it realy helps withthe detail so I tolerate it

i wonder how big it is in real life... it seems to take quite a long time to finish...i hope it will be worth the wait ^^

You mean the size of the drawing or the size of the wave in real life? The wave is about 8 feet, the drawing is on 18"x24" Bristol Board. I think it will be over 200 hours of drawing time. Yes. I am moderately insane.
