FIRST PAGE

Guess what! Only took me 3 months to make another page!
Ooof.... Work had me badly... but now I'm on vacation, and I finally found the urge to draw once again.

I think you're carrying too much cultural baggage from species that keep their brains right behind their eyes. It makes more sense to say that your location is the place where you interact with the world rather than the place where you do your thinking, if there is one of each and they are not the same.

Thing is that most robots are locked in one place, not quite like clockwork.

Could you summarize what you said?

Problem is.... I don't exactly remember. And I'm kinda always troubled if I have to read my own words

Ah well, at least I get one point.

wow... Clockwerk's quite the little chatter box when she gets going.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

WaveyWaves In reply to Misone [2018-09-24 06:11:19 +0000 UTC]

It's part of Clockworks original way of working. You can never say too much to the dumber robots she made instructions for.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Misone In reply to WaveyWaves [2018-09-24 16:26:05 +0000 UTC]

Really? normally, talking too much to a limited intelligence robot would be a bad thing; parsing spoken language is a resource heavy task, so the more you chatter at a dumb robot, the more of it;s limited processing power it has to tie up understanding what you just said; and you can easily end up confusing them.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

WaveyWaves In reply to Misone [2018-09-24 16:48:38 +0000 UTC]

I meant it more like giving it more detailed tasks. Adding more cases to react to unexpected outcomes and all that.
Not directly talking, but it's something with some similarities.Β

Some things I'd change in the texts:

For the Rest -> For the rest
Over sized -> Oversized
They scavenge for part -> They scavenge for parts
Same goes for joule -> Same goes for Joule
with enough time -> With enough time
least. ...Almost -> least... Almost
The ones that fit into normal Robots -> The ones that fit into normal robots

The last one is somewhat questionable, though, considering you could think of, at least some, robots as a race like Pegasi, in which case it'd remain capitalized.

Easy to miss things if I write that many words, and the German capitalisation seem to keep pressing through sometimes

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

rautamiekka In reply to WaveyWaves [2018-09-24 15:13:23 +0000 UTC]

Sometimes I notice the German thing happening, but in the end it seems to be fairly rare.

I don't mind helping improve the text as long as you don't mind fixing it. That, and I like your stuff

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

WaveyWaves In reply to rautamiekka [2018-09-24 15:29:45 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, things like me capitalizing the last Robots as example, just.... I just did it again. Yep

I'm grateful for it.
I do show the pages to some people before they go online, and ask them if they can spot anything, usually they can't

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

rautamiekka In reply to WaveyWaves [2018-09-24 16:47:45 +0000 UTC]

I'm nowhere nearly perfect at it, but I tend to do better than a big bunch of ppl, which says a lot

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

WaveyWaves In reply to rautamiekka [2018-09-24 19:46:18 +0000 UTC]

Yeah. Some people aren't good at spotting little things.
I'm actually decent. But I kinda have a blockage when it comes to reading my own words

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

rautamiekka In reply to WaveyWaves [2018-09-24 19:49:12 +0000 UTC]

That's normal; ppl automatically become blind to their own work, so they need a third party to take a look. It's the same problem in programming.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

WaveyWaves In reply to rautamiekka [2018-09-24 19:50:21 +0000 UTC]

Oh, can't even imagine how that goes.
Programming is hard enough already with the tiny stuff I am able to do.

Basically anyone can code, but like many things not everyone should be doing it.

Oh. Rrright.
Yeah. I am clearly one that shouldn't always be let alone with the software~

My coding is pretty much constricted to microcontrollers. And really nothing fancy.Β

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

WaveyWaves In reply to rautamiekka [2018-09-24 20:37:33 +0000 UTC]

C++
Cause Arduino.

I really only do stuff like reading the inputs and maybe even using some outputs

Simplest of things saving me to work properly with electronicsΒ
