Description
In the dark shadow of a mountainside cliff ... under a thick canopy of black spruce and poplar ... there is a place where the sun touches the forest floor for only moments a day.Yet, in the face of such odds, gentle life flourishes. As the new ferns arrive, their fiddle-head tops unfurl and reach for the elusive light.

i love the contrast and the juxtaposition of the different colours . it makes you wonder how life is exactly like this. A bit of light here and there, in our world, but everywhere else is rather dark. the depth of this piece is wonderful too.
