something a little ... well ok ... a lot different for me.
I'm just going to play around with a few conceptual styles ...
Only the second piece in my gallery which falls into the 'horror' category. I think it has some shock value, but I probably won't delve too deeply into the genre...

With the strained look and the shadows encroaching upon your face it could be a body-altering machine as well - visible physical effects of the altering! The tones and crisp texture of the background compliment the main subject really well.
