i usually dont draw fanart... but this movie was an exception <3
i grew up with a LOT of dr. seuss -- heck, in grade ten, i was in my school's production of seussical!
i went and saw this film on opening day, and i was AMAZED. i usually hate CGI animation, but when i saw this film, i realized how far we've come since toy story; it was just beautiful.
the story was excellent, the characters were so well done, i loved the music, and there was great humour in it
so, i decided i would draw the mayor (my favorite who) and jojo.

Did you know that Dr. Suess actually always wanted his name pronounced 'soo-ees'? He said he didn't want kids to get the impression that he was a serious doctor. But how can ANYONE associate Dr. Suess with serious? I mean, c'mon!
(I heard this on the radio on St. Patrick's Day from one of the D.J.s who had Green Eggs and Ham signed by the man. Dr. Suess said this to him and several other kids.)

Horton was always my favorite story of Dr. Seuss and I still can't believe I haven't gotten off my ass to go see the movie T.T

I'm going to see this movie on Thursday, but from what I've seen, it looks great. I refuse to see the ending clips they have on Youtube (even though I've read the book) but I saw the Anime scene...hilarious
