Description As I think about it, I don't really have much I want to say about this one. It should hopefully speak for itself.

Thanks for looking.

crystal clear. ive always wanted to do this kind of shots, like those satellite dishes in the movie contact associated with the SETI program.

Big Brother approves of your image. It creates an effective amount of fear, paranoia and control...

The tracks leading away in such a panicked, messy route really adds to the oppressive feeling, like we're powerless against it, that we're just not good enough to beat it. The little speck on the horizon that hints at the vehicle is a great little touch, that even as far away as they are the dish can still see them. The dish itself is cold, impassive, the very incarnation of technology - bright, clean, inhuman.

There's an interesting symbology with the clouds as well, with the darkness seeping in from the dish's side of the frame. It lends a certain foreboding to the atmosphere, certainly.

Where is this shot? It is crazy.

I love how open it is, that in its self kind of blows my mind. Except it might be to boring if it were just open blankness (is that a word?), so the tire tracks make some interesting contures. Then ontop of all that the dish placed perfected on the right lower coner. Not dominating the picture, but just enough to have its presence known. Very awesome.

what a superb composition bro, i love this shot, tones, details and the feeling, so free and still so strongly driven from those tracks... well done my friend, well done

Great work. With the isolated tyre tracks, an extra depth is added and greater gravity to the title. sweet.

Great view . I have feelin' like there is no people or civilisation miles and miles around. Maybe someone is there, trying to make contact, trying to find ...

Terrific composition. I have to admit... I have had the same thought for a photo, but I want to use the HUGE satellite arrays like in the movie Contact with Jodie Foster.

Nice shot man. I'd love to see a color version of this with blue sky and light clouds.

this would have made a beautiful panoramic shot in my opinion. very good use of space, and very well-framed and the overall organization of the composition with the element of shape and pattern (on the satelite dish)

I have my interpretation of this, which is similar to the dude's from fist of the north star. But without the killing people and general physical turmoil. Great composition and monochrome.

It does speak for itself. The constant tranfer of information among humans is increadible as such that we need to use pace to communicate

Lovely pic, nice message.

I love the contrast between the close focus on the dish and the wide open expanse. The composition is nice, the effect created by the dish partially obscuring the fields in awesome. Nicely soothing tones too Nice shot.

Love the composition. The great big sky is beautiful and I suppose the dish is scanning up there, but when I see the tyre tracks and the faraway car I'm thinking maybe it's being tracked... you'll never get away!
Nice tones in this shot too.

Nice use of tones and light, great how satellite tracking dish is off to one side, nice geometrics, also..good work on capturing mood, and also other forms of tracking, such as the roadway.

Here in Melbourne, Australia I can't even find access to a rooftop of one of the city buildings...

I always think it's pretty funny that they (?!) always put those dishes in very remote areas and they're seeking contact ... maybe if they move them to more urban areas they might get successful
Great depth, yet without any sense of dimension.

It makes me think of two things: either searching for extraterrestrial life or then the ever tightening net of monitoring and security around us. Even the trackmarks on the field below seem to support this combination, as it's easy to think of what they could stand for in both scenarios.. in the extraterrestrial scene, they could hint towards the landing marks of a spaceship that's already visited us, right in front of our monitors! Or was the encounter noticed and it's all just a big conspiracy? Er.. no more X-Files!

In the security scene, the tracks could depict the attempt to escape such a vision.. but no matter where you drive, fly or walk, there's always one of those dishes waiting and it seems impossible to avoid the control of one's life.

So yes, this photo took me far away..
