Description
This set was interesting to work with.At first i just wanted weapons that had skulls or bones as decorations but when i sat down and started the final sketches. I had decided to make the entire weapon out of bone or claws. some strings and clothes are used, but the point is, no metal.
eh hm, the following points are not neccessarily that of Anima studio, just my personal thoughts while creating these weapons. (god i had wanted to say something like this.
In concept these weapons are magically and/or chemically fortified so that with the right strength, they can cut or pierce armor.
Anyways..damn, this thing is gonna be long...but i feel like explaining them a bit, mostly cuz i spend time on them, hehe
Wings of the Plague: made from the skull of a large, Stork like bird. it sheds poison dusts.
Jaw of the beatle: made from a jaw bone of a large monster . this weapon has an Earth Elemental attribute.
Unicorn of Death: Made from two horns found on a unicorn type monster. The skull near the grip is of a different monster. It has death element attributes.
Fish of Shock: the pole is from a piece of whale bone, the spear head is a skull of the fish. they are really small on this, but on the right side of the spear, there s a few shells, connected by lightning. =]
Talon of the Mantis: Made from a talon found on the same monster as the "Jaw of the Beatle". The entire thing is carved out from the same talon, the little skull on it is just decoration, its not a real skull of any creature.
Hornet of Flames: Made from a rib bone of a fire breathing, dragon-type monster. The fire never goes out on that bow. The user would have to use a gauntlet made from the same bones, or he will get his hand burnt. I think i will design that gauntlet next time. hehe
whew. i wonder how many people will read this whole thing...

Each of these are fantastic, I'm glad you bothered to put up some background info on them! I'm interested in stuff like that, hence why I'm prolly commenting. Well, they're all craftily and beautifully drawn as usual, and I can't wait to see your future pieces that deal with Anima. C:
If I had to pick a favorite, I think it'd be the Wings of the Plague. The skeleton's beak/teeth remind me of those (I think) adorably frightening prehistoric dinosaurs that were carnivorous and lived in the oceans!

But yeah thats nothing to be bothered about, good work

Oh, oh! I read all of it! I love when artist post information on the art piece; though the art piece itself is really important, the descriptions add so much more depth and insight into the artwork.
I really like how the "Jaw of the beatle" and "Talon of the Mantis" are from the same creature; very neat!
Oh, after I read the description, I noticed the shells on the fishy one~ X3;;
My favorite, though, is the bow; the concept of the flame never going out, and the user requiring a gauntlet of the same dragon/material just rocks~
Ah, Anima TT^TT

I read it!
I always love it when artists put more than just "uh this is a painting" in their descs... sometimes, the picture speaks for itself, but othertimes I like to hear what the artist thinks of their own work.
All those weapons sound madcool. The fish one looks really awesome, and I can see one of my assassin characters weilding the mantis one!
awesometastic. you do the best weapons and armor man.

How about;
BECAUSE the hornet of flames is made out of an ancient fire-breathing-dragon it posesses its own soul and has an increased accuracy because of the keen senses that the dragons soul entraps and the flame ONLY enchants the tip of the arrow, enflaming the target...IN CONTACT!
I know..............i had an epiphany

I have never seen weaponry that looks so vicious yet elegant. And it's pretty! I can imagine some demented little girl playing with wings of the plague or the fish of the shock because of all the shiny purdiness! It's really cool how you go the extra mile explaining the imaginary creatures that make up these intricate weaapons of mass destruction! yay!

That bow would SUCK to carry around, even with that gauntlet. XD You wouldn't be able to put it anywhere! Unless your sack is made out of like. stone. lol Those little red skull charms on it are my favorite detail out of this set, though. I really like the colors and overall design on the dagger, particularly. It's gotta be my fav. @__@!
Though, making a weapon out of fish bones is just FREAKING COOL. T__T

whooaa nice designs and cool concept using various skeletons for ur purposes.
fish of shock is rather funny in that i imagined the end of the blade grabbing at people at discreet parts rather than pierce flesh.
