Description
Island Park, IdahoThere's just something about this cabin that intrigued me. It has obviously been there for a while, and was well built with extra touches like the shakes on the front and a concrete foundation. But it had canvas walls inside, well what was left of them.
The most telling evidence of my intrigue was that the day after I first saw this cabin I drove the 80 miles back there to shoot it.

Very cool! The majority of my immediate family is spread between Rexburg and IF, and my mother grew up just outside of Blackfoot. Then to push the coincidence even further, the three oldest of us kids were born in Los Angeles. Similar worlds...

Now wouldn't that be wild. Yes, my mom's family has been there since the beginning. They moved up there as homesteaders shortly after getting to Salt Lake.
