thank god.i did not come up with this, i only made the design and thought i'd share so that people would see how fortunate they are.

My school has this picture taped up everywhere, and I've seen so many people read it and walk away knowing that sadly every word it is completely true.
Be grateful, everyone. Don't take things for granted, don't take life like it's a joke.

cool DA piece, just wish she had done it a bit better, like assuming at the bottom that the 3 billion people who cannot 'read IT at all' are less fortunate, I'm sure she meant to imply that 3 billion people are illiterate, but instead she i...mplied that 3 billion people cannot read english and are less fortunate because of it
also the very first statement says that "If you have food in your fridge, clothes on....." so according to this piece, you MUST have a fridge to be in the top 25% of people in the world, and thats terribly inaccurate, the whole statement is rather misleading.
and ESPECIALLY estimating that "if you have never experienced the danger of battle, the agony of imprisonment or torture, or the horrible pangs of starvation" is about 500 million people, is very odd/misleading, people suffering from Chronic hunger ALONE is about 1 billion people, so what is starvation then that probably cuts that number into a quarter of its size to account for the other people added on to such a statistic?
again, GREAT piece, just could have had a bit more thought/research/error checking put into it

i don't know where this message came from, and i knew when i read it it might not be completely accurate - but the trueness of it is not the point. i'm not saying we should lie to people to make them feel bad, i'm saying the majority of people reading this are probably in a better condition.
