This is great and all, but it doesn't make me feel happy. I mean, I won't lie. While I do care, I'm the sort of person who doesn't like to be reminded of this sort of thing, but how is this supposed to make someone feel good about themselves? =/ I'm not saying it's a bad thing, I just don't agree with the Daily Deviation-giver's comment about it making you feel good about yourself. Shouldn't we feel bad for those who suffer?

you may disagree with what the person wrote but to explain to you why she wrote that: the person who suggested the daily deviation and wrote that comment is one of my active watchers, she understands the meaning behind most of my work and to her, it could make somebody happy.
i realize that the message can be perceived from different points of view but my intention was to remind people of the good things in life and to remind them that these things shouldn't be taken for granted. i'm not saying people shouldn't care about these issues but my point wasn't to raise awareness as much as it was to put a smile on somebody's face.

To be honest, I have to disagree with the second-last paragraph. I do not think any experience is a bad one, thus I wouldn't hate it to experience those dangers. At the moment I'd shit my pants with well-colored rainbows, probably, but I would still get the most out of the moment. Part of optimism too, I'm guessing. Thus, I wouldn't call it 'luckier'. But that's just my thought!
Great picture, great thought, overall great design; just keep it up you rock!

has a lot of potential to be very inspiring... nice to stimulate people's consciousness. but i would like to ask you if you truly think that the choice of typefaces and color, and the general graphic design adds anything to the message? such as strengthening its impact or accessibility of its meaning/emphasis etc. do you think is there any creative interaction between the graphic design and the message here?

well i'm no professional so i don't know a lot about graphic design but here's what i was thinking when i made this: starting off with big letters is supposed to grab the reader's attention and make him/her wonder what's next / using a basic font for statistics is supposed to reflect seriousness, but it's not a basic font like "times new roman" because that would make it seem dull / using different fonts for every idea is to break the monotony of the whole thing so that it wouldn't seem like just crowded text / adding light blue brush strokes behind certain words in the paragraph before the last was for the purpose of stressing on an idea (i did that mostly because the font was small and i wanted people to still pay attention) / the color choice was intended to create a balance in people's minds so that they wouldn't focus on the visuals too much to forget about the message but still have something that looks appealing to deliver the message.
as i said, i'm no professional so this might not make much sense to you.
