Whatever some people have to say about this, I think it's a really great piece of art and makes people think. The simplicity of it really brings out the concept. Honestly, I never knew nor thought about this.

thats a cool message and all, but i dont think this piece should have received the DD based on the actual art. the typography needs a lot of work

I'll have to second your latter point, with some regret: The typefaces have so many variations as to vaguely suggest a "ransom note" feeling.
If each statement were using one typeface, with the words ringing up weight and styling variations thereupon, it would be more effective.
As to the text, it struck me as somewhat too self-righteous when I first read it elsewhere, long ago.
Its tone of browbeating readers into being "thankful," to human or divine entities, or to be abashed at what one hasn't "earned," is unwarranted.
Neither of these is said directly, yet they're implied, and they discount or dismiss genuinely and peacefully earned achievement — by indirect attack. Which is almost more insidious, as it's harder to identify.
Still, this piece, though to me it received a DD more from what it says rather than how, remains oddly compelling.

AT last a typographic piece which portrays a humane message in a heart touching ways and not uses the message itself as a cheap trick to get away with a mediocre design. VERY IMPRESSIVE.
