A random doodle, me trying to force myself to get out of this funk and be creative again. =]Gift for *swiftwhippet - since I realized recently that despite how nice she is, I've not done her any gift art.
Well, that's been fixed now!
Also done for the "Light" slot in the 100 Themes Meme (you thought I forgot, didn't you! Aha! I showed YOU!)

*grins* Newp, not really. I used a partial photo ref for the angle of the neck from a google search, but can't find it now, so it doesn't seem likely it would remind you of whatever pic that was.
I still owe you oodles of art, by the way. Well, once the song is finished, but I could be started on it soon. You don't get the other mailed off till the others are done, so I can send a bulk package!

WHISKER! *tackles* omg I was so not expecting this as I skimmed merrily through my devwatch so it just hit me like a ton of bricks. aaaahhhh but I love it!! you know I love your real media work, that wonderful creamy texture it has, and the thick outlines give it a really illustratorly quality for whatever reason. she looks so cute and I love how the highlights make it look like the light is bathing her. I love it so much, and thank YOU so much for being awesome and you.

It's not going to be winning any awards, but it's cute, sweet, and hopefully made you smile. ^^
The lighting didn't come out quite how I wanted - I really need to find a way to work on my shading a bit more, get a better mental understanding of how it wraps around figures, but overall I'm pleased with this one. When I went through my printed list of character sheets, trying to find someone that made me think of "light", Swift refused to be ignored.

True, but sometimes you need someone there to help explain things. And visualizing things in 3d has always been a struggle for me, so this'll be a long road. (has been a long road, I've known about it for a long time)
