Description
Someone asked for a tutorial but I'm afraid I don't have time to write one ; A ;Sorry for another walk through instead.
Top to Bottom - Left to Right
1. Rough sketch, transferring my tiny 'lil thumbnail form my sketch book into a digital rendition.
2. Refining the sketch, changing poses - adding details.
3. Line art. I draw my lines in photoshop not Sai as it's easier to draw the backgrounds. Shift hold is my love for background aha.
4. Fill in the boxes.
5. Color the panels. I color on one layer - wasn't expecting to make a step by step so I don't have images of my process sorry // I'll make a tutorial soonish.
6. More coloring.
7. More coloring.
8. Colored the line art in certain areas. Squint - you'll see it aha.
9. Added the whites and extras.
10. Adjusted the lighting and played with color a bit. Finished~

Question, how big do you make your canvas before you start?

Couldn't figure out what had changed between 7 and 8, but then afterΒ reading the description I can see it.
You have such nice sketches (well, when you sketched in color. The first sketches are hard to make out). Their bodies look... right. Maybe something about balance and the human form. I tend to have issues getting characters to look like they're solid or real or something. When someone else gets it right, I can see it, though.Β I guess it's just something that a person picks up over time (or at least, if that time's spent paying attention, unlike me).
Your lines and color looks nice, too, by the way. ...I also have issues with drawing lines in Photoshop. Your lines look nice. ...and I also have issues with shading and coloring backgrounds... and panel design stuff.
(notices a reply to a comment below) and a page only takes 8-9 hours to do... I need to practice more so I can draw stuff that fast. T_T

That first one... Well, I don't exactly draw comics, but if I ever draw one, this will be helpful.
