Description How to emulate Copic Markers digitally with Paint Tool SAI

I've been struggling to emulate copic markers digitally using Paint Tool SAI. After a lot of experimentation and thought, this is the method I decided to use. I admit it's still not exactly like using copics, but I reckon the result looks close enought.

thanks so much for this ive been putzing around in PS for too long wondering why my art didnt look like watercolors or copics =] i downloaded this and in under 3 minutes figured out how to color RIGHT. props

I cant get my brush to act like it looks in the tutorial but I followed how you changed it as best as I could do you think you could go into a bit more detail? or help somehow? when I edit a brush to the settings you have shown it doesnt look any different and doesnt look a think like yours

Sorry about the delayed reply.

Have you added the texture to the layer as well? If you add it only on the brush it will not look the same.

This has been AMAZINGLY USEFUL!
I love my markers and always wished I could imitate them digitally. Now I can. Everything to the textures and tweaking was an amazing help. Thank you!

How did you get the paper texture so nice looking? I set mine at 20, but it really doesn't seem to do much.

You have to make the copic tool by yourself.
Duplicate a brush and edit the settings
