this one was like a dream really, when eric said he was going home to draw this one night i was so jealous thinking somebody else would get to color an ebas cover with wolves (my favorite animal)
when i started this (flatting it myself) i was really pumped about it, and promptly jumped right in to it feet first.
one thing about jumping into a cover is when you go in only with half your heart you might end up coming back out of it a little before you are done, but you stay safe in knowing you wont be over-thinking anything. but when you jump in feet first, you fall into it and can have your heart broken, much like love in fact.
i had my heart broken, as this didn't exactly turn out as i wanted. i guess in the end i'd wished the sunshine was someplace else.

Beautiful. I love these books and I was a bit worried when I heard there was going to be a comic book and saw some of the illustrations out there... But this is gorgeous. I'd buy it just for the cover. Your colors are perfect.

O_O This is the best Mercy Fanart I've come across so far. I mean, it looks different than the Mercy on the cover of the paperbacks but this is more like how I envision her looking in my mind so I think it's stunning.

whoa this is stunning! the wolves add majesty to the pic and she's sexy..not overly sexy but just right. gorgeous colours i rly like the paw print tattoo^^ and the sun is so impressive! fantastic work

it looks AMAZING, but one thing that totally makes me laugh is this... even supposed wild maidens, be it living in the wild or what have you... are ALWAYS clean-shaven, perfect silky armpits & bikini area, not to mention leg hair... it's just so hilarious 
also: busty maidens everywhere... haha 
this is by no means something against you OR your fellow artists; just a personal thought i had and found amusing. great work though

you can find it amusing, but nobody wants to look at clumps of hair. it's like the classic chainmail bikini argument, it's in no way practical, but it looks good. you dont need to look into it any further than that

final thought: you are right of course about not many people wanting to look at the realistic aspects. I totally agree, it's just the simple fact that aesthetic values in today's world are what they are; I do find it to be strange. but again, nothing to be done about it and it doesn't change the fact that VISUALLY these artists like you produce amazing work

and I think key-of-D said the fur looks full and lush. Too me, as wolves, they seem a bit lean and hungry.. I guess that's more the body than fur... And lean-hungry might be mo-better. I understand that ebas drew it and you're following his/her lines. Awesome, simply awesome.

yeah sometimes i go all out and paint my own skies, this time is one of them. on covers i try to always paint my own skies, but on interior pages i end up doing photo paint overs more often than not (but not always) to save time. this sky was a struggle all the way.
