by the by, I think I finally figured out what makes me like your characters, so much. Β I doubt this was any particular inspiration for them when you brainstormed them, but they really remind me of Guilty Gear Characters. Β That is, hypothetically, if you had all the resources and time available to you, they would make an excellent fighting game character roster, in addition to their character stories.

Oh my~ now im imagining them like that...i think youve given me quite some inspiration right there. Thats it. I definitely gotta make some fighting game styled drawings of them. Including the fun life bars and timer at the top haha.and now that youre making that link... Lyrical Lament and Testament kinda look alike now that i think of it xD (testament is my fave Guilty Gear character by the way :3) And Mana in the way that you drew her looks a bit like that S-Ko ghost that is possessing Zappa... oh god i really gotta play that gem of a game again soon ^^

I've been on Skullgirls, recently, but Venom was ma boy back in those days! Β Wasn't even really supposed to be fighting, dude was an assassin, but damn could he push the assault with a GD pool cue. Β I rarely even used the pool balls, I just slammed the enemy as hard as I could with regular combos and his super energy-orb special.
Which is weird, in retrospect, considering there was a Samurai in there...
Ah well, tons of character, great inspiration. Β It even had a ton of inspiration one-offs, once you looked up what all the characters' themes and/or name references were about. Β
I love references and allusions. it never gets old, and it pays homage to the things that inspired one to create, in the first place.

I know exactly what you mean! When something is slightly referred to something else it is really fun to look at. Which in Guilty Gear is lots of metal :3 and i am pretty adept within the knowledge and playing of the genre (cant live one day without my guitar). So all those references in their characters and attacks make it even more fun playing :3 never understood Bridget though, since i always thought it was a girl....then it turned out to be a crossdressing guy who looked like he took his pants off and put them on his head xD i gotta get into Skullgirls sometime too by the way. I know someone who plays it as well and the sweet character designs caught my eye.

His fate has beem sealed, his future forshadowed, for he shall become the nightmare from Toy Factory. Mutilated and de-attached from sanity, conscience and reality itself he will be a perfect death bringer.
How inecent and unaware his past self is, its days are counted and it doesn't even realize what will be the price to pay. It will snap him like a dry branch, sound of it following him for the rest of his wrecthed and distraught existence.

And I love the shadow, looks awesome, you must have put some killer time and skill in it. And the wings, so well in perspective and so well drawn. Expression and overall feeling is what I have written, it's full of this story, of what was before and what will be next. And looks so badass creepy.

Wow...thanks! I indeed tried to make Sky's expression unaware. Just a normal day in the factory...maybe a small chilling breeze blowing which caught his fancy and made him look around for what could have caused it.. alas, if he would have looked behind him he would have known. Or perhaps not.. after all, one can never foresee how his future would become so wretched in a matter of seconds. The only one entity that can be sure of it is the shadow lurking, waiting for an opportunity to strike. And destroy a past in order justify the future.. and by justify, of course, it would mean his personal way of to justify.
