Description
Just something I decided to do for St. Patrick's day. Looks like Aisling found a four-leaf clover... she may be blessed with luck.Related content

Thank you! Isn't the movie wonderful? I love everything about it, and it has irish wolf girls which are NOT human, which I love. It's all so pretty...

I forgot I commented in one of your posts. I saw your page. It is outstanding how much you love Tomm Moore's movies. Do you know there's a third one on the way? I woouldn't miss it for the world. And I think you'll really love it

I'm a huge fan of Tomm Moore's movies. You should check out my life sized Saoirse pillow as a seal, and my doll of Aisling. They're pretty cool. I also know the Secret of Kells style really well too. I have a lot of fan art of it. I did know of the third movie coming out. It's called Wolfwalkers. It's about a girl named Robyn who comes to Ireland with her father to kill the last wolf pack, her father believing them to have some kind of demonic influence. Then she meets a wild wolf girl(wolf girls again!)named Mebh. Then Roybn becomes a wolf girl as her soul leaves her body and enters the body of a wolf. I am informed hat Tomm is dabbling with lycanthropy and the film is set in the 1600s in Kilkenny, Ireland; the very location of the studio itself.

Oh man, you have merchandise about the movies? I'm so jealous! I can never get anything like that where I live. I can order them online, but so many things are just too expensive, especially with the shipping. All the things that I like are too unknown or just not popular. My favorite movies, videogame series, books, everything is so rare that I can't get too much of it. The advantage is that when I introduce them to people, they end up loving so I don't have to be alone
Of course, I should've have told you about the movie. I should've known you already knew. Yeah, the story and setting are just so interesting, and once again about Ireland. Wolfwalkers has such an interesting plot, and the animation is very similar to The Secret of Kells. All these movies and legends just makes me want to visit Ireland and learn more about their culture

How'd you like my merchandise? Well you must have a skill for sewing and be crafty and stuff like that, because if you don't, you're out of luck. You can buy felt at Jo ann Fabrics for a dollar or two a piece. Some cost fifty cents. You could make a plush from cartoon saloon for five dollars. Or look around your house. See what you can find. My Saoirse stuffy is made out of a white shirt, been in the washer once. The nose is made from the heel of a sock. The eyes are felt with embroidered eyelashes. And Aisling is made out of felt, yarn, and a pillowcase. She's been modified loads of time's, so she looked way different when first made her. Only the face and clothes are the same.
And most of the things I like, I guess are well known. Jurassic park, Rio, httyd, Minecraft, LEGO chima, Happy Feet, and wolves. Cartoon saloon is different. And it's special because of that.
If you listen closely in the wolfwalkers trailer, the music is the same from the Secret of Kells when Brendan was showing Cellach the book of kells when he was on his death bed, at the ending of the movie. And I agree with you about how it makes you want to learn more about Ireland. I'm the same way. I would like to live there, or at least visit the place. Song of the Sea and the Secret of Kells inspired me to love Ireland more. And I know some Gaelic. Just a little, though. I can not speak it fluently.

Oh? You MADE them? You didn't tell me that part! I thought you have gotten it somewhere. That's awesome! Unfortunately, I don't know how to sew. You have to show me photos sometimes to have a little inspiration
We seem to share a few things. I love the How to Train Your Dragon franchise. I even have the books. I also adore the Happy Feet movies, but I prefer the second one more for some reason.
As for Ireland, you're right. The movies just made you wish you could visit just so you could hear about the folklore. Tomm Moore really loves to make movies about Irish legends, and it seems like Wolfwalkers won't be an exception

Yes, I sewn both of them. I constantly look at photos for inspiration, and I memorized what they look like. My brain copies photos in my mind and I use them whenever I want WITHOUT looking on my kindle. Though sometimes I still look up stuff. I am always learning something new about the art. I'm sorry if you can't sew. But here's how you could get a plush.
1. Go to theSecretofKellsFans group.
2. Go to the Merchandise file. My creation is on it.
3. Ask somebody if they commission and if they could do something for you. Then ask how much it'd cost.
The How to Train Your Dragon series is awesome. I read all the books by Cressenda Cowell and my favorite dragon is the Deadly Nadder. After that, it's Terrible Terrors, Night Furies, Deathsongs, and Scauldrons. And with happy feet, I also enjoy the second one more, because it has Erik, my favorite character. And I just like it more.
I'm glad that TOMM Moore loves to make movies about Ireland, because I love Ireland too! And WolfWalkers won't be an exception. But the Breadwinner is. It is set in Iraq. Did you know the Book of Kells is real?

I just watched the secret of kells tonight, and I got to see the bonus features this time, including voices of Ireland voice recording, some pencil to screen animation, and a directors interview, which was Tomm Moore himself speaking!
He showed some of his concept art and stuff, and the shape of the lines can be curved and friendly, or sharp and unfriendly. The shapes of the lines themselves show the mood of the scene, like the auditorium has lots of curves and semiconductors with spirals, in contrast to the place of suffering, which has sharp triangles and sharp, edgy lines.
Another cool thing is that the characters themselves were inspired by his everyday life. Tomm has a son named Brendan and he decided he should make a character based on his son. He has a sister who was pesky and had somewhat bushy eyebrows, and created Aisling in inspiration of his sister.
The oak trees were inspired from trees he saw outside with knots in them, and the ring was inspired by rock circles found all over Ireland, and decided it would be a perfect place for Brendan to meet Aisling.
It was an awesome night! I hope I get to meet Tomm in person someday!

Well, you just ask, do you commission for plushies? If they say yes, ask if they'll do one for you. If they say yes to that, then ask how much will it cost and ask about the shipping and how long it will take for it to reach your house. If they are safe, tell them your address and phone number so they can mail it. It might work, I don't really know. I'm just guessing. Maybe you could be motivated to sew if you think about making a plush. I started sewing when I was seven, then I quit, then I started again when I was twelve.
I used to, but not anymore. I don't have them. I sold them. What do you mean you get goosebumps? Do you get really excited?
Even though I like the second movie better, I like Gloria's heartsong "Earth, Wind, and Fire."
Did Tomm do the art?

Those are some very useful tips. Thank you. I did take sewing classes years ago, but it's not something I'm passionate about. I'll visit the site, but someone will have to help me with the commissions. I still don't know how to do that. There are many things about this site I still have to explore.
So you read the books too? That is awesome! I think this is the only franchise where I love both books and movies equally. As different as they are, they have awesome storylines. And it makes me happy to know I'm not the only one who prefers the second Happy Feet. For me, it had a better story, better movies AND better songs. When Eric's sings that opera, and the Under Pressure song, I get some major goosebumps every time those scenes are up
I've heard about Breadwinners, but I haven't seen it yet. I think it's on Netflix. I should watch it soon. Tomm Moore didn' do that movie, but it's from Cartoon Saloon. And yes, I know the Book of Kells is real

Thank you! It's meant for St Patrick's day. How was yours? Mine was great. I put up shamrocks all over the house, put up a banner, and had some Irish whiskey, then playing my flute in the evening, then did this. But too bad I couldn't watch the Secret of Kells on that day. My mother didn't let me. Oh well.
