I finally got this one done! Phew! It took about a week to draw. I hope you will all like my drawing.I am VERY pleased with the decorative borders and bright colors of the the style. I also incorporated some celtic knots in the borders for an added twist, inspired by the real Book of Kells. I included the brothers of Kells in the borders too. I was inspired by many different posters I've seen of the cover, so that helped me a lot.
The colors in the borders correspond to the characters around them, such as robe colors, symbolic colors, and colors reminding us of things the characters enjoy doing (building the wall, illuminating, etc). My symmetry tools helped a lot too. I have the ability to pick colors out of photos and apply them to my drawings, which helps a lot. Enjoy!

Yes, I was inspired by them to do this. I think "Brendan and the Secret of Kells" had a large influence. And thank you for the comment. Notice how Cellach's border looks like the wall?

Yes, it did take a lot of time. About a week, I think. Crom and the forest are the most intricate detailed parts in the drawing. The branches wrap around the borders, even! I've been brainstorming what to make it look like while I was working on it. I was worried the borders would get messed up, but in the end, it turned out smooth and beautiful. Do you know the Secret of Kells?

You might be able to find it on Hulu or Netflix. Mine was a gift from my godmother. It cost 27$, and totally worth it! I hope you can watch it someday!

Yeah, it is a real gem of a movie. I love nearly everything about it; it has a magical wolf girl, it's set in Ireland, I like the plot, music, art, character movement, style, and voice acting! EVERYTHING!!! And Aisling's song is beautiful and eerie. I'm a HUGE fan!!!
