Not secure enough to face the world as she sees herself, and not understanding that some would appreciate her uniqueness, she hides behind a semblance of normalism. Beneath her surface - beneath all surfaces - the true face can not but hope ...that someday it will be unveiled to the world.

Suppose I tried to make a statement with this bit. Beyond the personas we put up - sometimes even behind the mask we wear for our closest of friends - the true self can remain buried deep deep down, never to see the light of day. I try to live my life as openly as I can, and be damned to anyone who can't take me for what they've discovered. I'm straight by the way...
Inspired by a combination of dev's made by a user that shares this series' namesake. If that's too complicated, good; I asked to use one of this artist's photos for this and she straight denied. After much (months) of searching, the very generous photographer ~hatred103 not only had the perfect photos, but was kind enough to allow me their use. The starter photos, however, are no longer on the 'Net, but she consented to displaying them in my Scrapbook.
