I haven't done a WIP in aaaaaggggeeeesss, so I thought I would share since I'm pretty psyched about this little lady.If you know who this is then I hope you enjoyed the new episode as much as I did, otherwise don't worry people I'm not spoiling anything for ya, go watch and enjoy!!
But yea, she is so far from done, but I just spent the past 2 hours working away to get her this far and my right eye feels like it's about to fall out of my head so me thinks it's time to stop sculpting for the night lol
I hope you guys enjoy the sneak peak, I will finish her up in the next couple days alongside working on art trades and such (unless the uncontrollable need to finish her takes hold of me like the urge to make her in the first place did haha)
Keep in mind she is a work in progress, so all that roughness is the result of sanding and there's still things to be done to make her look better so no judgey people!

Well there are tons of tip I could give but it all depends on what you are looking to sculpt. But the main tip is to have patience, lots and lots of patience. Everything takes time and learning to sculpt is no exception. Also, don't get discouraged if something doesn't turn out exactly how you pictured it or if things break and aren't easily repaired. I can't count how many times something has broken and it's been bad enough I had to start from the beginning again!Β

I had to try sculpting once at school and I think I did a decent job... but only with a lot of advice from my teacher (that's why I think I'm still a beginner ^^)
I'm happy you took your time to write such a good answer for me ^^Β
I'll probably do many sketches before I start sculpting tho (I'm just scared I mess up XD)

There are tons of tutorials online that can help guide you. I have looked at tons of them myself when I get stumped on how to pull a certain look off

Good idea, understand the anatomy of what you are trying to sculpt by drawing things out over and over really helps when you go to put it in 3D

So that's wood? Wow very nicely done. I'm guessing you're gonna go for the celestial stars and deep blue/purple colors for the body, no?

I wish I could do this with wood! But no, tis only clay. Super sculpey to be precise. This is what my my stuff looks like before the paint. And most likely, I'll have to see about what shades I need to mix to get it just right but at least I have the silver and white for the stars

That would be the hardest, most unpleasant cookie you've ever eaten in your life XP but I can see how it could be mistaken for a cookie, it certainly has the color of one

Yeah I loved that part too. It was also great seeing the Doctor again, although it would have been funny watching him use a Sonic screw driver or do something else Doctor Who-like.
