This is an amazing character design. There's so much to it, but it's done with such finesse. The colors are flow consistently all around, and as detailed as it is, it's clearly just some simple armor plating slapped over otherwise ordinary clothing. It's far more cohesive and sensible than anything you'd see used in, say, a recent Final Fantasy game, with piles of zippers and straps and pointy bits and a myriad of other things that don't need to be there. This is simple. This is functional. This works.
