Top Hat Stables was Paige Stud’s next stop, Gothic Poet was performing like a champ. We left Faridoon after Edgar’s first show and proceeded to add to his stud resume at Top Hat Stable’s New Year Show where he would perform in the stallion’s Halter class again.
The whinnies of the excitable studs echoed off the walls of the immaculate indoor arena, everyone seemed impressed while the horses just wanted to show off. Gothic Poet was barely old enough to be considered a stallion, but already he had shown many that his flashy coat was not his only positive quality. The halter stallion was quiet and very obedient in the show ring, despite being bred to haul ass across stadiums after fleeing calves. We felt he was physically mature to compete in reining and cow work, but not quite mentally mature. For now his show regimen was to stay on the calm and quiet side, he had such an unusual coat we felt we owed it to him to show him off as much as possible.

Finished: 3rd in halter stallions and colts
